Get to know Flip
Flip is a financial technology company in Indonesia that provides money transfer-based financial solutions. To date, Flip has served more than 16 million users and 1,000 companies and SMEs.
However, Flip has a bigger goal. Flip wants to become the Everyday Savings Companion (Hemat Tiap Hari) that helps people keep saving amid rising needs — not just for interbank transfers, but also for shopping, investing, and other daily needs.
Now, users can transfer between different banks for free, top up e-wallets, and send money abroad through Flip Globe at a much lower cost. That's not all — there are also newer features like Flip Deals, which gives extra cashback when shopping on various e-commerce platforms; Flip Emas, for easily starting digital gold investment; and Safaraya, which makes it easier to do Umrah.
For companies and business owners, Flip provides an integrated solution for sending and receiving business payments on a single platform, Flip for Business. Flip also supports business operations through Flip Kasir, which makes it easy for MSMEs to accept QRIS payments from all banks and e-wallets, and to monitor every transaction in real time via sound notifications.

Flip was founded in Depok, Indonesia by 3 alumni of the University of Indonesia: Rafi Putra Arriyan, Luqman Sungkar, and Ginanjar Ibnu Solikhin.
The Flip platform was originally built using Typeform.
Beta version of Flip launched.
2016
Flip was licensed by Bank Indonesia.
2019
Flip secured Seed Funding from Sequoia Capital India and Insignia Ventures Partners.
Flip launched Flip for Business, a business finance management solution for enterprises and SMEs.
Flip raises Series A Funding from Sequoia Capital India.
2021
Flip launches Flip Globe, a solution to send money overseas.
Flip earned the LinkedIn Top Startup award.
Three of Flip's founders awarded Forbes 30 Under 30.
Flip secured Series B Funding from Sequoia Capital India, Insight Partners and Insignia Ventures Partners.
2022
Flip secured Second Round Series B Funding led by Tencent with participation from Blok, Inc (formerly Square, Inc) and predecessor investor Insight Partners.
Flip launches Request Money feature to simplify the process of transferring money using just one link.
Flip presents the Multitransfer feature to transfer money and send e-money balances to multiple recipients at once.
2023
Flip launched the Zakat and Sedekah feature, as well as unique code donations for Android users in collaboration with Kitabisa and Rumah Zakat.
Flip launched the Balance feature that allows users to make easier transactions with Dutamoney Balance on their Flip app.
Flip presents Subscription services, specifically for loyal Flip users to save even bigger while making transactions on Flip.
