Reasons Why You Should Study in Korea

Here are some of the many reasons you should consider studying in Korea.

1. Universally Acclaimed University

Universities in South Korea are known and respected throughout the world for providing a top-notch education. Numerous notable institutions exist, with Seoul housing the majority of them. In terms of academic success and competitiveness, South Korea is among the top OECD nations. Additionally, it ranks highly on the global educational attainment and cognitive skills scale.

2. Affordable Living Costs and Tuition

The cost of studying abroad is the biggest obstacle. At a time when higher education costs everywhere else are rising, South Korea stands out. South Korean colleges and universities provide an excellent education in a friendly environment without the prohibitive costs associated with studying in the United States, the United Kingdom, or Australia. The cost of lodging, meals, clothing, transportation and entertainment is inexpensive, making it ideal for students on a tight budget.

3. Friendly for Working Students

Independent of the cost of higher education, there are other regular and predictable expenditures. And to make ends meet, students typically need part- or full-time jobs outside the university. Many students, therefore, seek employment to support themselves while pursuing their educational goals financially. International students in South Korea might find part-time work to help pay for their studies. With a valid D2 student visa, international students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during the school year and an unlimited number of hours during the summer and winter breaks.

4. Career Prospects

You are free to stay in South Korea after completing your degree and looking for employment. International students are permitted to live there as long as they like under the terms of the law. However, you do require a working visa and an employment offer from a business. Still, it isn't easy for a foreigner to find employment, let's face it. You'll be up against people from Korea. Since most occupations require native Korean speakers, they have a greater understanding of their home nation, the workplace culture, and these individuals. Your chances are good if you have relevant degrees from a reputable university, in-demand talents, and greater Korean language proficiency, such as TOPIK.
